Hello, I'm Wanting Zhang, and I'm an animator, illustrator, and concept artist from Shanghai, China. I've been fascinated by animation since I was a kid, and my curiosity led me to explore this magical industry. I started drawing to educate myself on how animation as a process was achieved. As a result I discovered that animation is my passion. During my high school years, I decided to pursue a formal art education. I honed my skills and learned from some incredibly talented people along the way. I went to a studio in Zhenjiang, China, for six months, and it vastly improved my animation and illustration skills. Currently I am a junior animation student at the School of Visual Arts in New York. I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with my peers at SVA. I'm working on location designs, bg layouts , prop designs as well as animation in the team. Ultimately, I aspire to share aspects of traditional Chinese culture with my audience through my work.
